The programmers of the PixyCam2 have spent so much time with it that they’ve decided to give it a name. They’ve officially deemed the camera “Pixie.” Creative, right? Pixie was worked to near completion today. Attached to the new silver bot, it identifies colors so that it can practically drive itself to pick up Cargo.
A ‘button box’ was also constructed, housing buttons for all the heights of the elevator for ease of the drivers. It will be programmed in the upcoming days.
Speaking of buttons, the draft team made templates for the buttons we give out at competitions, and published them for the OZone members to design on.
In addition, drivers got last year’s bot up and running for the open House coming soon. At the event, you can drive a full-scale robot, build your own Lego bot, tour the shops where we work, meet last year’s bot: Art3mis, plus more! Come and explore the shop on Sunday the 24th, from 1-3 in the Orange High School engineering wing!
